The pump supplies pressurised fluid to the steering rack, making the steering light and easy to turn. Whining noises, heavy steering at low speed, fluid leaks or foaming fluid in the reservoir are typical signs that the pump is worn or failing.

Vehicle compatibility

The listing names the Volkswagen Passat and Audi as applications but did not provide model years, engine codes or a fitment table. Power steering pumps vary with engine type, pulley design and hose connections, so please check the number stamped on your existing pump or confirm the correct part from your VIN with a parts specialist before ordering.

Key features

Power steering pump for VW and Audi applications

Steel and aluminium construction, according to the listing

OE-reference number 8D0145156F

Power source options listed: hydraulic or electric

New replacement unit

Technical specifications

Part type

Power steering pump

OE-reference number

8D0145156F

Listed makes

Volkswagen, Audi

Listed model

Passat

Material

Steel and aluminium

Power source options

Hydraulic, electric

Sold by

Box

Condition

New

Approx. packed dimensions

40 x 40 x 20 cm

Approx. packed weight

3.0 kg

Installation requirements

Before fitting a new pump, find out why the old one failed, as contaminated fluid or a blocked reservoir filter can quickly damage a replacement.
