On electric vehicles the upper front panel typically replaces a traditional open grille, giving the car its clean, modern face. If the panel is scratched, faded or cracked, swapping it is an easy way to refresh the front of the vehicle. A fresh panel also helps protect the edges of surrounding bumper components from further weathering.

Vehicle compatibility

Listed fitment data lists the SAIC Volkswagen ID.6 X from 2021. As a China-market seven-seat electric SUV, the ID.6 X has body parts unique to the model, so this panel is not expected to fit ID.4 or ID.5 vehicles. It suits importers, workshops and owners of ID.6 X vehicles in Australia and New Zealand.

Key features

Upper decorative trim panel for the front bumper

ABS plastic construction

Restores the factory front-end styling

Direct replacement referenced to OE number 12D853053

Sold individually with no minimum quantity beyond one

Technical specifications

Part type

Front bumper upper trim panel / top decorative cover

OE-reference number

12D853053

Material

ABS plastic

Position

Front upper

Condition

New

Sold per

Piece

Approx. packed dimensions

30 x 20 x 20 cm

Approx. packed weight

3.0 kg

Installation requirements

Upper trim panels generally clip into the bumper and may be secured with screws accessible once the bumper is loosened. Be careful around badges, light bars or sensors located nearby. Replace damaged clips to prevent rattles and wind noise. A panel repairer can complete the job if bumper removal is needed. Work slowly when releasing clips, as plastic tabs can become brittle with age and sun exposure.

Fitment checks before ordering

Panels may differ for vehicles fitted with an illuminated light bar or specific trim packages. Confirm the OE number on your current panel, or send your VIN and a photo, before ordering. That lets us double-check the match for you. Comparing the clip positions and outline shape with your existing part is another simple check worth doing.

Package inclusions

1 x front bumper upper trim panel.
