When a boot lid has been pushed in during a rear-end impact, or rust has started to bubble around the number plate recess or lower lip, a replacement panel is usually the fastest route to a quality repair.

Vehicle compatibility

The listing shows the VW Jetta A5 from 2005, and its attributes name the Jetta III (1K2) between 2005 and 2010, including Jetta GLI and 1.4, 1.6, 1.9 and 2.0 versions. The 41-row fitment data also contains Golf V and Golf Variant entries; those models do not have a sedan boot lid, so those entries should be ignored. The part listing also quotes 1K0807217AAGRU, which appears to be a bumper reference rather than a boot lid number.

Key features

Boot lid / trunk lid for the Jetta A5 sedan

Referenced to OE number 1K5827025

Designed as a replacement for a damaged original panel

Allows a full rear-panel refresh in one step

Technical specifications

Part type

Boot lid / trunk lid

OE reference

1K5827025

Option shown by listing

Fender LH (appears to be a listing error; this item is a boot lid)

Condition

New

Approx. packed dimensions

160 x 70 x 75 cm

Approx. packed weight

13.5 kg

Installation requirements

We recommend fitting and painting by a qualified panel beater. Trial-fit the lid to set the hinges and check gaps against the tail lights, rear quarters and bumper before painting. Move the latch, wiring, number-plate lamps, badges and weather seals across from the old lid, and renew any perished seals so the boot stays watertight.

Fitment checks before ordering

The selectable option on this listing is labelled as a fender, which does not match the product.
