PROGRAMMING – REMOTE FUNCTIONS

Program the remote functions before having the key blade cut. Procedure may vary by vehicle; professional assistance is recommended if you are unsure.

1. Open the driver's door.
2. Insert and remove the original key from the ignition 2 times.
3. Close and open the driver's door 2 times.
4. Insert and remove the original key once.
5. Close and open the driver's door 2 times.
6. Close the door.
7. Turn the ignition ON.
8. Turn the ignition OFF and remove the key.
9. Wait for the door locks to cycle.
10. On the new remote, press LOCK and UNLOCK together for 1 second, then press LOCK.
11. When locks cycle, insert key, turn ignition ON then OFF.
12. Remove the key, close the door and test the remote.

To delete previously programmed remotes, a separate procedure may be required; refer to your service manual or a qualified locksmith.

PROGRAMMING – TRANSPONDER KEY

A working master key is typically required. If you do not have one, consult an automotive locksmith or dealer.

1. Insert the original master key into the ignition and remove it 5 times, finishing with the key inserted.
2. Open and close the driver's door 6 times.
3. Remove the original key and insert the new key.
4. Leave the new key in the ignition for about 60 seconds (or until the security light stops flashing).
5. After the light stops flashing, start the vehicle to confirm programming.
6. Remove the key.
