COMPRESSOR & CLUTCH FUNCTION

• The compressor circulates refrigerant through the A/C system, enabling effective heat exchange and cooling.
• The clutch assembly includes the coil magnet, pulley and clutch plate.
• When energized, the electromagnet pulls the clutch plate against the pulley, engaging the compressor input shaft.
• When not engaged, the pulley freewheels on a sealed bearing and the compressor shaft does not turn.
