Product Overview
This downpipe test pipe set is designed for BMW models with the S55 twin-turbo inline-six, including the F80 M3, F82 / F83 M4 and the F87 M2 Competition and CS. Made from 304 stainless steel with a 1.5 mm wall and raw finish, it replaces the factory downpipes for motorsport and off-road builds where maximum exhaust flow after the turbos is the goal.
Key Features and Benefits
- 304 stainless steel construction
- 1.5 mm wall thickness
- Test pipe design, with no catalytic converter
- Raw, unpolished finish
- Covers S55-powered M2, M3 and M4 models
Vehicle Compatibility
The supplier lists fitment for BMW F80 M3, F82 / F83 M4 and F87 M2 Competition / CS with the S55 engine. This fitment is supplier-stated and has not been independently verified. The standard F87 M2 uses a different engine and is not included. Please confirm compatibility with us before ordering.

Installation and Usage
Downpipe replacement on the S55 is a demanding job and should be carried out by a specialist performance workshop. Removing the catalytic converters requires ECU calibration to avoid fault codes and to manage oxygen sensor readings. After fitting, check flange seals, sensor connections and heat shield clearance, and recheck fasteners after the first heat cycles.

Important Fitment Notice
Please send us your VIN or chassis number before purchasing so we can help confirm fitment. Test pipes are intended for off-road and motorsport use only. Removing catalytic converters from a road vehicle in New Zealand may breach emissions requirements and result in a WoF failure, and compliance remains the owner's responsibility.
