PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Set of 2 bonnet gas support stay struts designed to replace worn or weak bonnet lift supports on VW Passat models from 1999 to 2005. Supplied gas-charged and ready for quick installation.

Reference part numbers: GSHV201PR, ZPN-41356

KEY FEATURES

  • Supplied as a matched pair (2 x bonnet gas struts)
  • Pre-greased and gas-charged, ready to install
  • Smooth, controlled bonnet opening and closing
  • Corrosion-resistant piston rod for long service life
  • Designed to directly replace original bonnet lift supports

SPECIFICATIONS

  • Extended length: 725 mm
  • Compressed length: 405 mm
  • End load: 300 N

TYPICAL APPLICATION

Used to support and hold open vehicle bonnets. Also suitable in similar applications where matching length and load specifications are required. Always confirm length and end fittings against the original parts before installation.

INSTALLATION NOTES

  • Replace struts in pairs for consistent support and operation
  • Support the bonnet securely before removing old struts
  • Check that ball sockets and mounting points are clean and undamaged
  • Ensure orientation and stroke match the original components
