Installation requirements
Professional installation is recommended. With the engine cold, unplug the sensor and remove it using a slotted oxygen sensor socket. Install the new sensor by hand first, torque to the specified value and route the lead clear of the exhaust and moving parts. Clear codes and confirm normal sensor switching with a scan tool after a road test.
Common warning signs include an illuminated engine light, rough idle and reduced fuel economy. Checking for exhaust leaks upstream of the sensor first avoids misdiagnosis, as leaks can skew readings.
Fitment checks before ordering
Upstream and downstream sensors on these vehicles can differ in cable length and connector. Please compare the number on your current sensor or send us your VIN and engine details so we can confirm compatibility before ordering.
