Drivetech SumoSprings was introduced to the Australasian automotive aftermarket in late 2012. This revolutionary product is the world's first load assist "airless airbag" suspension system.

Drivetech SumoSprings were developed in response to market frustration with conventional airbag suspension products. They are:

Drivetech SumoSprings transform vehicles fitted with leaf spring suspension and have been designed and engineered specifically to meet market demand for a zero maintenance suspension support solution. Gone are the days of pumping up airbags in order to improve suspension and achieve a level load. Drivetech SumoSprings are a ground-breaking, "fit and forget" product that requires zero maintenance or adjustment once installed.

Drivetech SumoSprings are manufactured using a highly durable closed cell polyurethane material. This responsive material provides progressive compression under load and variable road conditions. In simple terms, the more weight you apply, the stronger the spring becomes. Capable of maintaining loads in excess of 2,200 kgs on some models, Drivetech SumoSprings ensure a smooth, comfortable ride whether you have a large load, or no load at all!

Incredibly durable, Drivetech SumoSprings eliminate the frustrations of leaking or puncturing, which are so common in conventional airbags. There is minimal possibility of system failure with Drivetech SumoSprings, as they don't require air lines or compressors.

The closed cell polyurethane won't rupture and incredibly it can even be punctured without causing any loss of performance!

The durability of Drivetech SumoSprings is in stark contrast to that of conventional airbags, which require constant maintenance and frequent replacement.

The performance of Drivetech SumoSprings is matched by their installation ease. Supplied as a bolt on kit which allows easy installation with no drilling required. Drivetech SumoSprings can be quickly and simply installed to vehicles with or without existing airbag bracket systems.

Drivetech SumoSprings have been extensively tested overseas and in Australia. In the United States, the US Border Patrol tested the product and as a result of its outstanding performance, many US Border Patrol vehicles are now fitted with SumoSprings. The Drivetech SumoSprings range has now been developed and tested on Australian applications with excellent results.
