ANTI-PINCH FUNCTION SETUP (IF APPLICABLE)

Some electric window motors feature an anti-pinch (one-touch) safety function. Incorrect testing before installation can cause this function to fail and require resetting.

• Do not power-test the motor before it is installed in the door.
• Install the regulator and connect it to the one-touch window switch.
• Pull the switch up to raise the window. If it reaches the top and stays, the function is set correctly.
• If the window drops slightly after reaching the top, follow the reset procedure below.

ANTI-PINCH RESET PROCEDURE

• Step 1: Pull the window switch briefly to move the glass up slightly to the top position.
• Step 2: Hold the one-touch switch up for 3–5 seconds with the window at the top.
• Step 3: Press the switch briefly to move the window slightly down to the bottom position.
• Step 4: Hold the one-touch switch down for 3–5 seconds with the window at the bottom.
• Step 5: Pull the one-touch switch to raise the window fully to the top and check that it no longer drops.

If the window still drops after reaching the top, repeat the above steps until the anti-pinch function is correctly set.
