ANTI-PINCH MOTOR SETUP (GENERAL GUIDE)

If your vehicle uses a motor with an anti-pinch (one-touch) function, the motor may require resetting after installation. Do not test the motor before it is installed in the door, or the anti-pinch function may need to be reset.

• Install the motor onto the regulator and fit the assembly to the door.
• Connect the one-touch window switch and operate the window to the top.
• If the window goes up fully and stays at the top, the function is correctly set.
• If the window drops after reaching the top, perform an anti-pinch reset.

ANTI-PINCH RESET STEPS (GENERAL)

• Step 1: Pull the window switch briefly to move the glass slightly up to the top position.
• Step 2: Hold the one-touch switch in the up position for 3–5 seconds at the top.
• Step 3: Press the window switch briefly to move the glass slightly down to the bottom position.
• Step 4: Hold the one-touch switch in the down position for 3–5 seconds at the bottom.
• Step 5: Pull the one-touch switch to move the window fully up to the top.

The reset is complete if the window remains at the top. If it still drops, repeat the procedure until successful. Always refer to the vehicle manufacturer’s service information where available.
