Anti-Pinch Function Setup
This motor may be used with window regulators that have an anti-pinch (one-touch) safety function. Incorrect testing before installation can cause the anti-pinch feature to lose calibration.
- Do not power-test the motor before it is installed in the door.
- The motors are factory tested and preset before dispatch.
- Install the motor, connect it to the one-touch window switch and operate the window.
- If the window drops down after reaching the top, perform a reset of the anti-pinch function.
Anti-Pinch Reset Procedure
- Step 1: Pull the window switch briefly to move the glass fully up to the top.
- Step 2: Hold the one-touch switch in the up position for 3–5 seconds at the top.
- Step 3: Press the window switch briefly to move the glass fully down to the bottom.
- Step 4: Hold the one-touch switch in the down position for 3–5 seconds at the bottom.
- Step 5: Pull the one-touch switch to move the window back up to the top and check that it no longer drops.
If the window still moves down after reaching the top, repeat the reset steps until the anti-pinch function is correctly calibrated.
