ANTI-PINCH FUNCTION RESET (IF APPLICABLE)
Some electric motors include an anti-pinch safety function. Incorrect testing before installation can cause this function to fail. If the window drops after reaching the top, follow the reset procedure below.
- Install the motor in the door and connect it to the one-touch window switch before testing.
- Pull the switch up; the window should travel fully to the top.
- If the glass reaches the top then drops, carry out the reset steps.
Reset steps:
- Step 1: Pull the window switch briefly to move the window slightly up to the top position.
- Step 2: Hold the one-touch switch up for 3–5 seconds at the top.
- Step 3: Press the window switch briefly to move the window slightly down to the bottom.
- Step 4: Hold the one-touch switch down for 3–5 seconds at the bottom.
- Step 5: Pull the one-touch switch to raise the window fully to the top.
The reset is complete if the window remains at the top. If it still drops, repeat the procedure.
