Anti-Pinch Function Reset (Where Applicable)
Some electric window motors incorporate an anti-pinch safety function. Incorrect testing or installation may require a reset. Follow the steps below if the window drops after reaching the top position:
- Install the regulator and motor in the door and connect to the one-touch window switch before testing.
- If the window goes up fully and then drops slightly, perform the reset procedure.
Reset procedure:
- Step 1: Pull the window switch briefly to move the window up slightly to the top.
- Step 2: Hold the one-touch switch up for 3–5 seconds at the top position.
- Step 3: Press the window switch briefly to move the window down slightly to the bottom.
- Step 4: Hold the one-touch switch down for 3–5 seconds at the bottom position.
- Step 5: Pull the one-touch switch to raise the window fully to the top and check that it no longer drops.
If the window still drops after reaching the top, repeat the reset procedure until the anti-pinch function is correctly initialised.
Installation & Warranty Notes
- This part is intended as a replacement component for repair of existing vehicles.
- For best results and to maintain warranty coverage, installation by a qualified automotive mechanic is recommended.
- Do not remove any tamper-evident seals or labels on the motor or plugs, as this may affect return or warranty eligibility.
- Product images are for reference only; actual colour or finish may vary slightly due to lighting and screen settings.
Please compare the product photos and OE reference numbers with your original window regulator assembly before ordering to ensure correct fitment.
