ANTI-PINCH FUNCTION SETUP (IF APPLICABLE)

Some electric window regulators and motors are equipped with an anti-pinch (one-touch) safety function. Incorrect testing or setup can cause this function to fail and require resetting.

• Do not power-test the motor before it is installed in the door.
• Install the regulator and connect it to the correct one-touch window switch.
• Operate the switch to confirm the window travels fully to the top.
• If the window drops down after reaching the top, follow the reset procedure below.

ANTI-PINCH RESET PROCEDURE

• Step 1: Pull the window switch briefly to move the window slightly up to the top position.
• Step 2: Hold the one-touch switch up for 3–5 seconds when the window is fully closed.
• Step 3: Press the window switch briefly to move the window slightly down to the bottom position.
• Step 4: Hold the one-touch switch down for 3–5 seconds when the window is fully open.
• Step 5: Pull the one-touch switch to raise the window to the top and check that it no longer drops back down.

If the window still drops after reaching the top, repeat the above steps until the anti-pinch function is correctly set.
