Anti-Pinch Function Reset (Where Applicable)
For window regulator motors with an anti-pinch (one-touch) safety function, follow these guidelines:
- Do not power-test the motor before it is installed in the door, or the anti-pinch function may need to be reset.
- Motors are tested and set correctly before dispatch; install and connect to the one-touch window switch to verify operation.
- If the window drops slightly after reaching the top position, perform the reset procedure below.
Reset procedure:
- Step 1: Pull the window switch briefly so the window moves up slightly to the top.
- Step 2: Hold the one-touch switch in the up position for 3–5 seconds at the top.
- Step 3: Press the switch briefly so the window moves slightly down to the bottom.
- Step 4: Hold the one-touch switch in the down position for 3–5 seconds at the bottom.
- Step 5: Pull the one-touch switch to raise the window fully to the top and check that it no longer drops.
If the window still drops after reaching the top, repeat the reset steps until successful.
