ANTI-PINCH FUNCTION SETUP (WHERE APPLICABLE)
For window regulators or motors equipped with anti-pinch and one-touch function, correct initialization is critical. Do not operate the motor out of the door assembly before setup, as this may cause the anti-pinch function to fail and require resetting.
- Install the motor and regulator in the door and connect to the one-touch window switch.
- Operate the switch to raise the window. If it travels fully to the top and stays there, the setup is correct.
- If the window drops after reaching the top position, perform the reset procedure below.
Reset procedure (typical)
- Step 1: Pull the window switch briefly so the glass moves slightly up to the top.
- Step 2: Hold the one-touch switch up for 3–5 seconds at the top position.
- Step 3: Press the switch briefly so the glass moves slightly down to the bottom.
- Step 4: Hold the one-touch switch down for 3–5 seconds at the bottom position.
- Step 5: Pull the one-touch switch to fully raise the window and verify it remains at the top.
If the window still drops after reaching the top, repeat the procedure until the anti-pinch function is correctly set.
