ANTI-PINCH FUNCTION SETUP

If your vehicle uses an anti-pinch safety function, follow these guidelines when installing the motor:

• Do not power-test the motor before it is installed in the door, otherwise the anti-pinch function may require resetting.
• Motors are pre-tested and set correctly before dispatch.
• Install the motor, connect it to the one-touch window switch, and operate the switch to confirm full travel.
• If the window raises then drops down at the top, reset the anti-pinch function as described below.

ANTI-PINCH RESET PROCEDURE

• Step 1: Pull the window switch briefly so the window moves slightly up to the top.
• Step 2: Hold the one-touch switch in the up position for 3–5 seconds at the top.
• Step 3: Press the window switch briefly so the window moves slightly down to the bottom.
• Step 4: Hold the one-touch switch in the down position for 3–5 seconds at the bottom.
• Step 5: Pull the one-touch switch to raise the window fully to the top and check it no longer drops down.

If the window still drops after reaching the top, repeat the reset steps until the function operates correctly.
