ANTI-PINCH FUNCTION RESET (IF APPLICABLE)

Some electric window motors feature an anti-pinch (one-touch) safety function. If the window drops back down after reaching the top, the motor may require resetting after installation.

• Install the regulator and motor in the door before testing.
• Connect to the one-touch window switch and operate the window fully up.
• If the glass returns down from the top position, perform the reset steps below.

ANTI-PINCH RESET PROCEDURE

• Step 1: Pull the window switch briefly so the glass moves slightly up to the top.
• Step 2: Hold the one-touch switch in the up position for 3–5 seconds at the top.
• Step 3: Press the window switch briefly so the glass moves slightly down to the bottom.
• Step 4: Hold the one-touch switch in the down position for 3–5 seconds at the bottom.
• Step 5: Pull the one-touch switch to move the glass fully up to the top.

The reset is complete if the window remains at the top. If it drops again, repeat the procedure until it holds its position.
