The Goss SC021 crankshaft position sensor (also known as a crank angle sensor, crank sensor or crank pulse sensor) is designed to accurately monitor crankshaft position and speed for precise engine timing and reliable ignition performance.

FUNCTION

This sensor works in conjunction with the camshaft position sensor to determine the relationship between the camshaft and crankshaft. The signal is transmitted to the ECU, which then controls fuel injection and ignition timing so the correct cylinders fire at the correct time.
