ANTI-PINCH FUNCTION RESET (WHERE APPLICABLE)

If used with a window regulator motor that has an anti-pinch or one-touch function, the motor may require resetting after installation.

• Do not operate the motor before it is installed in the door, or the anti-pinch function may fail and require reset.
• Install the motor and connect it to the one-touch window switch. Pull the switch up: if the window goes fully up and remains at the top, the function is set correctly.
• If the window drops after reaching the top, follow the reset procedure below.

ANTI-PINCH RESET PROCEDURE

• Step 1: Pull the window switch briefly so the window moves slightly up to the top position.
• Step 2: Hold the one-touch switch up for 3–5 seconds at the top position.
• Step 3: Press the window switch briefly so the window moves slightly down to the bottom position.
• Step 4: Hold the one-touch switch down for 3–5 seconds at the bottom position.
• Step 5: Pull the one-touch switch to move the window fully up to the top.

The reset is complete if the window remains at the top. If it continues to drop, repeat the procedure until successful.
