This oil catch can kit installs in-line between the crankcase breather hose and the air intake to remove oily vapour, sludge and condensation before they reach the intake system. By reducing contamination, it helps protect the intercooler and turbo from build-up and potential blockage.

FUNCTION

The catch can sits in the breather line from the crankcase to the air intake, separating and trapping oil mist and moisture. Cleaner air is then returned to the intake, which helps keep the intake manifold, turbocharger and EGR components cleaner and reduces sludge-related wear.

MAINTENANCE

• Drain approximately every 5,000 km (more often in towing or dusty conditions).
• Replace filter element at approximately 40,000 km, usage and conditions dependent.
