Installation & Anti-Pinch Reset (General Guide)

If used with a motor that features an anti-pinch or one-touch function, the motor may require resetting after installation. Do not operate or test the motor before it is correctly installed in the door, as this can cause the anti-pinch function to lose its settings.

• Install the regulator and motor assembly in the door and connect it to the one-touch window switch.
• Operate the switch to raise the window fully. If the glass reaches the top and then drops slightly, the anti-pinch function will need to be reset.

Typical reset procedure (may vary by vehicle):

• Pull the window switch briefly to move the glass to the upper stop.
• Hold the switch in the up position for 3–5 seconds.
• Press the switch briefly to move the glass to the lower stop.
• Hold the switch in the down position for 3–5 seconds.
• Raise the window fully and check that it no longer drops after reaching the top.

If the window still drops after reaching the top, repeat the reset steps. Always refer to the vehicle-specific workshop information where available.
