FUNCTION

The electronic throttle body is an actuator that controls the volume of intake air entering the engine. By accurately regulating airflow in response to signals from the engine control unit (ECU), it supports proper fuel delivery, stable idle speed and consistent engine output.

INSTALLATION NOTES

• Professional installation is strongly recommended
• Mounted on the intake manifold; always replace the seal ring and gasket
• Use a cross pattern when tightening mounting fasteners (approx. 8–10 Nm)
• Verify all electrical connectors, vacuum lines and coolant hoses are securely attached
• Do not use a throttle body that shows signs of impact or physical damage

SELF-ADAPTATION & MATCHING (SUMMARY)

After installation, the throttle body may require an adaptation or matching procedure so the ECU can relearn the correct throttle position. This procedure can vary by vehicle and diagnostic equipment. In many cases it involves key-on cycles without starting the engine and allowing the ECU to complete a basic setting process.
