Product overview

A new steel front guard (fender) for the Volkswagen Gol and Saveiro, referenced in the part listing as fitting the 'GOL 57 / SAVEIRO 2009'. The listing quotes OE numbers 5U0821021 and 5U0821022 (plus 5U7 821021CTR and 5U7 821022CTR) for the left and right guards and 5U0823031 for the bonnet. The option currently offered is the left-hand front guard.

Vehicle compatibility

Listed fitment data includes nine rows for the Volkswagen Gol and Saveiro, mostly from 2001 or 2002 onwards in Brazilian, Mexican, Argentine and Dutch market data, plus the South African Gol from 2015 to 2023. The title points to the 2009-onward generation. These models were sold mainly in South America and South Africa and are rare in Australia and New Zealand. Please confirm the part number on your existing guard or check your VIN before ordering.

Technical specifications

Installation requirements

Remove the bumper, headlight, wheel arch liner and indicator to reach the guard bolts. Test-fit the new panel, align it with the bonnet and door, and tighten once the gaps are even. Prepare and paint the guard before final fitting, then apply seam sealer and cavity protection where needed. Fitting by a panel beater is recommended to ensure a good finish.

Fitment checks before ordering

The generation description in the listing data is unclear and year ranges vary. Confirm the exact part by OE number or VIN before ordering, and keep your old panel until the new one has been compared with it. Photos of your part labels help.

Package inclusions

1 x front guard for the selected option (LH). Bonnet, lights, liners and fixings are not included unless stated.
