Volkswagen Passat B8 LED Rear Tail Light Assembly 3G0941661E

Product overview

This LED rear tail light assembly is a replacement for Volkswagen Passat models and is listed with OE-reference numbers in the 3G0 941 661 and 3G0 941 662 range, including 3G0941661E and 3G0941662E. Tail lights provide your running, brake and indicator signals to following traffic, so a cracked lens, water inside the housing or failed LED sections are worth fixing promptly to keep the vehicle safe and road legal.

Vehicle compatibility

The listing describes this lamp as suiting the Volkswagen Passat B8 and B8.5, which matches the 3G0 part number prefix. However, the listed fitment table instead lists earlier Passat B5.5 (3B3, 3B6, 2000–2005) and B6 (3C2, 3C5, 2005–2011) saloons and wagons. These generations use very different lamp shapes, so the fitment data appears inconsistent. Please check carefully before ordering.

Key features

• LED tail lamp design for clear, even rear lighting
• ABS plastic housing with a polycarbonate lens, as listed
• Rear left and rear right positions are referenced in the listing
• 12 V operation

Installation requirements

Disconnect the battery or switch off the lights before starting. Remove the boot trim to reach the lamp fixings, unplug the connector and lift the old unit out. Check the rubber seal and mounting points, then fit the new lamp and test the tail, brake, indicator and reverse functions. Professional fitting is recommended for electrical work.

Fitment checks before ordering

Passat tail lights differ between saloon and wagon bodies, between outer and inner sections, and between left and right sides. Always confirm the OE number on your existing lamp or check your VIN with our team before ordering.

1 x tail light assembly. Contents as pictured/listed for the selected option; bulbs, wiring adaptors and mounting hardware are not included unless stated.
