Product overview

This oil and gas separator, also known as a PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valve, is a replacement for Volkswagen and Audi 1.8 and 2.0 litre TFSI/TSI petrol engines. It is referenced to OE numbers 06H 103 495 AB, AC and AH, with 06H 103 495 C also quoted, and manages crankcase gases to keep oil consumption and emissions under control.

A failed PCV diaphragm is a well-known issue on these engines. Typical signs include a whistling noise at idle, rough running, oil consumption, lean fault codes or a strong vacuum when the oil filler cap is removed.

The separator bolts to the engine block and connects to the intake via breather hoses. Replace the gasket or O-rings, tighten bolts evenly, and check hoses for cracks while the area is accessible. Clear any fault codes afterwards. Fitting by a qualified technician is recommended.
