VW Automatic Transmission Gearbox 0DL300012J

Product overview

This is a new automatic transmission listed for Volkswagen vehicles and referenced to OE number 0DL 300 012 J. It is offered as a replacement gearbox for repair situations where the existing unit has suffered internal failure, slipping, harsh shifting or mechatronic faults that make replacement the most practical option.

An automatic transmission transfers engine power to the wheels while selecting gears automatically. Common warning signs of internal problems include delayed engagement, flare between shifts, shuddering, warning lights or the gearbox entering a limp mode.

Vehicle compatibility

The listing shows this transmission for Volkswagen but has not provided models, years, engines or drivetrain information, and no fitment table was supplied. Fitment is therefore unverified. Transmission compatibility depends on engine code, drivetrain, gearbox code and software, so matching the exact OE number and gearbox code is essential.

Installation requirements

A transmission replacement is a major job and must be carried out by a qualified workshop with the correct lifting equipment and diagnostic tools. Fill with the manufacturer-specified fluid, and complete any coding, adaptation or basic settings required after installation. Customers select the gearbox type option shown when ordering.

Before removal, record any stored fault codes and inspect the cooling lines, mounts and wiring connectors, as faults in these can affect the new unit. Clean all mating surfaces and check the surrounding seals while access is available.

Fitment checks before ordering

Do not order based on make alone. Confirm your gearbox code and the OE number on your existing transmission, and verify with your VIN through a Volkswagen specialist before ordering. Please contact us before purchase so we can help confirm compatibility.
