VW Golf Mk8 2020– Headlight Assembly 5HG941006

Product overview

This headlight assembly is a plug-and-play replacement listed for the Volkswagen Golf 8 (Mk8) from 2020 onward, referenced to OE number 5HG 941 006. It suits owners replacing a damaged or faulty headlamp with a new cool white unit.

A replacement assembly is the simplest fix for a damaged lens, broken mounting tabs or a lamp that has suffered water ingress. Fitting a new unit restores lighting performance and appearance, and it avoids the cost and complexity of attempting to repair the sealed internal LED components of a modern Golf headlamp.

Vehicle compatibility

The part listing names the Volkswagen Golf Mk8 from 2020. The automated fitment table instead lists Golf VII (5G1) from 2013, which is a different generation with different headlamps. Please treat the Mk8 as the intended application and confirm by OE number or VIN before ordering.

Key features

• Cool white light output with 6000 K colour temperature
• Rated power option listed at 72 W
• 12 V operation
• Referenced to OE number 5HG941006

Technical specifications

Installation requirements

Fitting requires partial removal of the front bumper and should be carried out by a professional. Modern Golf lighting can require diagnostic coding after replacement, so make sure your installer has suitable equipment. Test every function and set the headlamp aim before driving.

Fitment checks before ordering

The part listing mentions xenon while the specifications describe an LED head lamp, and the listed bulb code is H4. Confirm the lamp technology and side required, compare with your existing headlight, and verify by VIN before purchase.

Package inclusions

1 x headlight assembly. Contents as pictured/listed for the selected option; mounting hardware is not included unless stated.
