Product overview

A lateral stabiliser link, sometimes called a drop link or anti-roll bar link, ties the anti-roll bar to the suspension so the car stays flat through corners. This replacement suits the Volkswagen ID family of electric vehicles and is referenced to OE numbers 1ED411315 and 1EA411315B, C and D, along with suffix versions A to E. If you hear a light knocking from the front over rough surfaces, a worn link is a likely culprit.

Vehicle compatibility

The listing names the VW ID.3, ID.4, ID.4 X, ID.5, ID.6 and ID.7 as applications. No year or variant table accompanies this listing, so fitment is partial. Compare the part number on your current link, or send your VIN, and we will check it for you.

Key features

  • New part made to OE-standard length, height and thread dimensions
  • Steel body with rubber-sealed joints
  • Reduces body roll and suspension noise
  • Position options available at checkout

A fresh pair of links is an inexpensive way to tighten up a car that feels loose or noisy over judder bars and gravel roads.

Installation requirements

Unload the anti-roll bar before removing the old link, ideally by supporting both sides of the suspension. Counter-hold the ball stud while loosening and tightening the nuts to avoid damaging the joint boot. A qualified mechanic should carry out the work, particularly on high-voltage electric vehicles where lifting points must be observed.

Inspect the anti-roll bar bushes while the link is out, as worn bushes produce similar knocking noises.
