VW ID.6 X 2021+ Rear Bumper Chrome Side Trim Strip L/R 12D853841

Product overview

This rear bumper chrome trim, sometimes called a side bright strip, is a replacement decorative moulding for the Volkswagen ID.6 X from 2021 onwards. It is referenced to OE number 12D853841 and is listed for the rear left and right positions. Chrome strips are often the first parts to suffer in a parking bump, and a dented or peeling trim stands out on an otherwise tidy car.

Vehicle compatibility

Listed fitment data lists the SAIC Volkswagen ID.6 X from 2021. The ID.6 X is a Chinese-market electric SUV, so this trim is intended mainly for imported vehicles and the workshops servicing them. It should not be assumed to fit other ID models. Please confirm the side and OE number before ordering.

Key features

• Rear bumper side bright strip with chrome finish

Technical specifications

Installation requirements

Chrome trims are commonly clipped into the bumper and may be supplemented with adhesive tape. Ease the old strip away with a plastic trim tool, clean the mounting area with a suitable panel wipe and press the new strip firmly into position. If clips are accessed from behind, the bumper may need to come off, in which case a panel shop can help.

Fitment checks before ordering

Volkswagen usually assigns different part numbers to left and right trims, often ending 841 and 842. Confirm which side you need and check the number on your existing strip, or send us your VIN and a photo, before ordering.

Package inclusions
