VW Passat B8 2016–2020 LED Tail Light 3GD945207 / 3GD945208

Product overview

This LED tail light is a replacement rear lamp for the Volkswagen Passat B8 and its Magotan counterpart, referenced to OE numbers 3GD 945 207 and 3GD 945 208. It suits repairs following a rear-end knock or where moisture or failed LEDs have affected the original lamp.

Damaged tail lights can let water into the boot area and may cause a WoF failure. A new assembly restores the brake, tail and indicator functions and refreshes the rear appearance of the vehicle, which is useful after minor rear-end repairs or when the original LED sections have begun to fail.

Vehicle compatibility

Listing attributes list the Volkswagen Passat B8 / Magotan with a year range of 2016 to 2020. The automated fitment table shows only Passat 2012, which does not match the B8 generation. Saloon and wagon bodies use different rear lamps, so confirm your body style and check by OE number or VIN before ordering.

Key features

• LED rear lamp with red lens option
• 12 V operation, listed at 25 W
• Referenced to OE numbers 3GD945207 and 3GD945208

Installation requirements

Tail lights are normally removed from inside the boot by releasing the trim panel and retaining nuts. Disconnect the battery before unplugging the lamp, check the body seal is intact on refitting, and test brake, indicator and reverse functions. An auto electrician can assist if any warning appears.

Fitment checks before ordering

Passat B8 tail lamps differ by body style, facelift status and outer or inner position. Confirm the side and position required and verify by VIN before purchase.
